Writing just a little everyday is a great way to compartmentalise your worries whilst reaffirming your blessings in life, but writing down your feelings and filling out page after page of random jottings isn’t for everyone.
For those of us who don’t have the time, or even struggle to condense their feelings into just a few lines, Haiku poetry is an amazing way of summing up your thoughts.
Minimising your stress into just 3 lines might seem counter productive when all you want to do is get everything off your chest and unload. But, by doing so you may just realise how irrational or unimportant your worries really are!
Haiku poetry is a traditional form of Japanese poetry and follows a structure of 5 syllables in line one, 7 syllables in line two, and 5 syllables in line three (5-7-5):
‘I always loved you
Even through the worst of times
I still love you now.’
Whatever your worries or doubts are during these uncertain times, give it a go and send us your attempts! Hopefully you find it reaffirming...
